What is listed

George Foreman died in March 2025. He was 76. The Huffman estate, about 35 miles northeast of downtown Houston, is listed with Evan Compean of the Compean Group. The HAR MLS number is 73125052.

The land in that listing is about 13.49 acres on 4 lots. The house is a single-story Mediterranean-style home, built in 2001, with 5 bedrooms and a gated entrance.

About 14.79 more acres can be bought separately. Reports say that piece would complete a roughly 28-acre estate, and that it includes a tennis court, a basketball court and a fishing pond. It is not part of the $6,000,000 price.

The garage and the rooms he used on camera

There is an approximately 11,000 square foot climate-controlled collector's garage that held his car collection. Reports put the collection at about 40 cars. Realtor.com says the garage has room for 50 or more vehicles. The listing says the space could be converted into a boxing gym, a basketball court or another sports use.

The house has two kitchens, including the kitchen where he filmed commercials for the George Foreman Grill, and two private offices, including the one where he filmed sermons after he became a minister. It also has a library, a fitness room, and a sun-filled steel-built atrium where the family hosted a wedding reception. The home has imported marble, three fireplaces, a whole-home generator, a private well and a septic system. Reports also mention an air-conditioned dog kennel and a hair salon he built for his wife.

How the family got here

Foreman and his wife, Mary Joan Martelly, spent two years designing the home. His daughter Natalie told the Houston Chronicle the family moved there in the 2000s after his car collection outgrew their Kingwood-area home. The family hopes a buyer will use it as a family gathering place.

The earlier asking price

Public listing history shows it was previously listed at $9,500,000 in November 2024. That listing was removed in February 2026. Neither figure is a closed sale.

What I would tell a Huffman or Lake Houston owner

Huffman and the Lake Houston area are right next door to our Kingwood office. An acreage estate with special-purpose features, a garage on this scale, a well and a septic system, needs a different pricing and marketing approach than a typical subdivision home. The change from the $9,500,000 ask to the $6,000,000 ask shows that even a celebrity home has to meet the market.
