Kingwood's biggest village of 1980s homes.
Greentree is the largest single-family village in my research, about 1,764 homes with a 1988 median build year, east of West Lake Houston Parkway with two pools, parks and greenbelts.
What sets Greentree apart
Greentree gives you a wide choice of late-1980s and 1990s homes in one association. HAR counts about 1,764 single-family homes with a median of roughly 2,783 sq ft. Community Impact lists two pools, four parks, greenbelts and a community room. Because the village is large, school zoning and annual dues vary by section, so check both for the exact address.

The Sec 8 listing was built in 1999 on a 9,301 sq ft lot; the Sec 5 listing was built in 1989 on a 12,760 sq ft lot. Source

Schools
Greentree Village is in Humble ISD. School assignments are set by address and can change each year, so confirm with the district’s lookup tool before you rely on a campus. See my Kingwood schools guide for the official tools.
HAR names Greentree Elementary, Creekwood Middle and Kingwood High for the village. Source
Zoning varies by section: a July 2026 listing in Greentree Village Sec 07 shows Shadow Forest Elementary and Riverwood Middle. Source
The Sec 5 listing (May 2026) is zoned to Hidden Hollow Elementary, Creekwood Middle and Kingwood High, a third elementary seen in the village besides Greentree and Shadow Forest. Source

What I would check before buying in Greentree
- Which platted section the home is in, its recorded deed restrictions and that section's current assessment (2026 listings show different amounts by section).
- The zoned elementary for that street; listings in different sections show different campuses.
- Age of the roof, HVAC, water heater and windows on a late-1980s home.
- Flood and drainage history for the specific street, using the tools in my Kingwood flood guide.
