Fifth Circuit (1998): the Humble course opened in 1992 and copied Harbour Town's 18th as its hole 1 (with a replica lighthouse), Pinehurst No. 2's 3rd as hole 3, and Pebble Beach's 14th as hole 13. 2
GolfNow: best known for its Amen Corner re-creation (Augusta 11-13), with Augusta's 12th as Tour 18's 6th; other holes modeled on TPC Sawgrass 17, Doral 18, Bay Hill 6, Harbour Town 18 and Pebble Beach 15 (third-party).

Pebble Beach Co., Resorts of Pinehurst and Sea Pines sued Tour 18 (suit filed Dec. 7, 1993, S.D. Tex.). The Fifth Circuit (Sept. 14, 1998) held the Pebble Beach and Pinehurst hole designs were not protectable but Harbour Town's hole and lighthouse were; Tour 18 had to remove its replica lighthouses and use disclaimers. 2
